I screamed. I was really unhappy. I can’t help thinking about my Gopi uncle when I read a small news item in Melbourne Herald Sun a few days back. Why the hell Peter brought that stale newspaper and showed me that news? Jesus! It’s so annoying.

“It’s bloody hilarious, innit?” he asked me while chomping his casserole. He pushed the newspaper towards me and I read it. I hate the newspaper. It does not publish anything about our great reformers when they share their dreams in open air theatre. The other day my elder sister told me a touching story about a lady who was inhumanly dominated by her authoritative husband. The lady, who happened to be one of our relatives, had no say in her family. Her husband was the sole decision-maker and he did not give her a single credit for her 15-year long contribution to build up a cosy home. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference


Unlike Robert Frost in his poem ‘The Road Not Taken’, it must, however, be difficult for many to make such a choice. Umpteen choices come our way as we become conscious and begin to understand our circumstances. Only the right choice at the right time will help make life more comfortable.

But what if one has no option? Many youngsters who have come across my life have said that they are confused about what to do in life. Should I join the media, become a teacher or apply for study abroad? Again the choices have a long list – which media, which school and which country.
